Lost Planet 2 inspired by Gears & COD's weapons, Halo's world

Lost Planet 2's director Kenji Oguro and producer Jun Takeuchi talk about how other shooters influenced their highly-anticipated title.
You won't see any enemies this insane in Modern Warfare, that's for sure.
Our resident gore-shooter fiend, Patrick Shaw, recently got to visit Capcom in Japan to get an exclusive look at Lost Planet 2 for a feature in an upcoming issue. While there, he got to chat with the game's director, Kenji Oguro and producer, Jun Takeuchi, about the many new highlights of the upcoming sci-fi shooter.
You can check out the entire interview here, which includes talk of new, even bigger creatures to be revealed, but we're going to highlight one particular part of the conversation right here, in which the Lost Planet 2 team talks about its biggest gaming influences.
Patrick: So you did use Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Gears of War as inspiration for the heavier emphasis on the shooting aspect of Lost Planet 2?
We did go back and play both of those games to determine, what exactly makes them fun so we could improve upon the shooting in Lost Planet.
Actually, the game we played the most and were most inspired by was the Halo series, mostly because that game has such a strong and vibrant world that's embraced by both hardcore and casual audiences.
Check out the rest of the interview here, and keep an eye open for our upcoming November issue, which features a six-page blowout of Lost Planet 2!

Naw the first one was very very boring and I'm not getting this one. I'd actually be shocked if it does kill GoW2 but isn't it multiplatform anyway? how can they compare sales

I doubt they meant sales when they billed it "Gears of War Killer"

That's true. But Gears of war killer would mean No one would play gers of war anymore after this and I can't see that ever happening.
