Microsoft's Shane Kim to retire

After almost two decades with Microsoft, Corporate Vice President of Strategy and Business Development Shane Kim is retiring.
GameSpot is reporting that Microsoft's Shane Kim has announced that he plans to retire at the end of this year.
Kim, who has been with Microsoft for nearly 20 years has been one of the most recognizable Xbox personalities and has had a hand in delivering some of this generation's biggest games including the Halo series and Gears of War.
Kim has held multiple positions with Microsoft's Gaming division including Corporate Vice President and his current position -- Corporate Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. Replacing Kim will be Phil Spencer -- the current General Manager of Microsoft Game Studios.

It sucks that he's leaving. He was one of the few corporate execs that blatantly talked shit about his competitors. But since this is opening up a spot, I wonder if I can have his job. I'm sure it has comfy benefits.

I might still not own a 360 but I am very familiar with Shane's name and his contribution to the greatest medium in the world. Sad day when somebody this important to video games steps down.

That should have said: "one of the few corporate execs that DOESN'T blatantly talk shit about his competitors".
