Worried about Halo 3: ODST being rushed to store shelves? Don't be. It's been finished for over three months!

Halo 3: ODST finished development in May

ODST has been ready to fire for months, it turns out.

In an episode of GameTrailers Bonus Round recorded at the Penny Arcade Expo, Brian Jarrard of Bungie revealed that Halo 3: ODST was completed way back in May and was held back to be released during the holiday season.

Jarrard goes on to talk about how strange it is to have been promoting a completed game for the past few months and mentions that the copy they showed at E3 was completely finished. It's an interesting discussion that can be checked out here. Thanks to Loot Ninja for the heads up.

SO when I play this game next weekend, I should have a very
minimal to no glitches right Bungie??

Bungie is known to spend atleast the last two weeks to one month polishing their completed games. So the majority of this game should be bug free. Having said that, you never can tell what sort of weird online play glitches will be there. Because theres no competitive multiplayer theres pretty much no reason for people to cheat on this game(although you know that some idiots will do it anyway).

Anyway, mine is preordered and hopefully I can pick it up Monday at midnight so I can get an early start on firefight mode.

damn...sucks having to wait because of "business decisions" involving holding back games for certain seasons...oh well...just means it better be pooooliiiished.

i played the leaked copy of ODST and well i was a bit underwhelmed,,should have been released as DLC.

Then they should be well on their way for DLC and refining the gme engine. If this thing has anything more than the minorest of glitches when it hits... they should be slapped about like rowdy tart. ;)

I hope this game really is good. I was very disappointed with Halo 3 because only the online portion was any good IMO,so this better be worth the time and effort. Also, why isn't this game being put on PS3? Just kidding guys,no need to rip me a new one.

The campaign could've been better. I wish the battles were larger and more epic. (not just 3 banshees and 2 scarabs). I was hopin for 50 marines vs 100 covenant or something.
