Repair site: PS3 Slim 'a bit more tricky' to reassemble

I bet this is like Hustler magazine for robots...

Our Features Editor Patrick Shaw has just posted an in-depth interview with console fixers Rapid Repair, who were the first people to post pictures of a disassembled PlayStation 3 Slim. Patrick asked them about many facets of the repair process, as well as the internal components of the PS3 Slim. When asked to compare the repair process between the PS3 Slim and older models of the system, Rapid Repair's Ben Levy had this to say:

"All in all I'd say that the general difficulty of repair on all PS3s is about the same, including the PS3 Slim, though with the parts being closer together in the Slim, reassembly is a bit more tricky."

You can find out more about the PS3 Slim in the full interview. Be sure to check out the PS3 dissassemly guide too, to see pictures of the system cracked open! And of course, should any of your consoles break, you'll probably want to visit Rapid Repair's official site, too.

Let this serve as a word of warning to those of you who can't resist disassembling your consoles--you might have trouble with the PS3.

Who cares about this? Sony made the PS3 Slim to make it cheaper to sell. It wasn't designed to be easy to repair. Why exactly is this even being talked about? It just came out so if you get one that breaks send it to Sony for repair. Problem solved.

Not quite. That picture didn't have PS3 Slim's urinating on each other.
