Bit.Trip Void announced for WiiWare

The third chapter of the Bit.Trip series has been announced. Find out the first details and watch the debut trailer!

After two well-received retro-styled WiiWare titles, in Bit.Trip Beat and Bit.Trip Core, Alex Neuse and Asksys Games will work their pixelated magic again with Bit.Trip Void.

Announced today, the game will continue the core game elements of the first two--Atari-era visuals and chiptune audio--with a new gameplay style, aptly described by omgNintendo as if "somebody sat down and tried to port Ikaruga to the Atari 2600."

I'm a huge fan of the first two Bit.Trip games--I'd say the series is on par with the Pixeljunk and Art Style titles. The first look I've had at this game has me believing they're still on track with this game.

I suck at playing it, but I love watching a friend play the first Bit Trip at his place...it's almost mesmerizing! Awesome music that fits perfectly with gameplay too.
