No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle due Jan. 2010

The Desperate Struggle to wait for the sequel to No More Heroes may end sooner than you think, as reports indicate that No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle will be coming out in January 2010.

No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle scheduled for January 2010

Double the swordplay, double your fun!

Destructoid is passing along word that the sequel to the Editors-choice winning No More Heroes will be one of the first major titles of 2010. Eurogamer was the first to announce that No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle will be coming out in January of 2010. We've yet to hear official word from Ubisoft on the matter, however.

In other Desperate Struggle news, Ubisoft is running a contest in which users can design a t-shirt that Travis Touchdown will be modeling in the upcoming game. The contest ends on September 10th, so you've only got a little over two weeks to photoshop our Previews Editor Travis Moses' head onto Travis Touchdown's body and call it "Travis Motown." Because once Ubisoft and developer Grasshopper Manufacture see that unholy union, they'll call the contest then and there.

THE VERDICT by Dave Rudden Dave Rudden's Avatar

I still consider the first No More Heroes to be one of the best Wii games ever, and this game has looked pretty good thus far. Hopefully this release date sticks, and I'll be able to find out whether it fixes the few faults of the first.

The first game is still sitting on my shelf unplayed. I need to get around to playing it.

First one was pretty good. The hub world was pretty terrible, some of the worst collision detection I've ever seen in a game... but it wasn't all that important. Boss battles and assasinations were pretty sweet! Kinda hope this next one is more of the same, but with a better open world.
