Dark Void landing on January 12

Capcom's sci-fi flight-based action shooter has received a January 2010 release date, starting off next year with a sonic boom.

Dark Void landing on January 12

Looks like Dark Void is going to 'kick' off 2010 in a big way. Heh heh.'

When Capcom delayed their innovative "Rocketeer meets Gears of War" shooter Dark Void into 2010 last month, we assumed the worst. Thankfully, it looks like we won't have to wait too long to strap on the jetpack and soar, as Capcom has announced a release date of January 12, 2010 in North America and January 15, 2010 in Europe.

With creative concepts like seamless transition from ground-based shooting to flight combat and vertical cover, it's no wonder that we dubbed the game one of the "Most Dangerous Upcoming Games." In an industry filled with games taking minimal risk, that's a very good thing.

Now we're starting to see the upside of the 2009 release date exodus. 2010 should have a steady slate of games from the beginning of January to the end of December, and Dark Void seems like a pretty good game to kick things off.

I wish LucasArts would make a Boba Fett game similar to this..

Capcom makes better games than LucasArts usually, but Boba Fett would be awesome!
