RARE HAS BIG PLANS FOR NATAL: The developer of game franchises such as Viva Pinata, GoldenEye 007, and Banjo-Kazooie has revealed that they have plans to resurrect some of their classic franchises with the Xbox 360 motion sensing technology Project Natal.

VideoGamer.com reveals in an interview with Rare director George Andreas that the UK-based video game developer has plans to use Project Natal for the Xbox 360 to revitalize some of their classic franchises. Rare is known for developing a number of popular series such as Banjo Kazooie, GoldenEye 007, Viva Pinata, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Perfect Dark, and Battletoads to name a few.

"[Natal] gives us an opportunity to maybe at some point in the future investigate some of those older IPs. I won't name names....

...One in particular actually I think we can do an absolutely phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal version on with Natal. The interface, the way you interact with it -- I think it would be an absolutely world-beating product. But we need to explore a little bit more in that direction." -George Andreas

I must say I have a couple hundred thousand awesome memories from playing 007 games with friends on the N64. Missing one of my own legs wouldn't be so bad if it meant re-living those memories on a current gen console with Natal incorporated in a good way.

Not sure how Natal will work on a FPS game, but I'm certainly curious about it... That was a great game.

Lol, chop your leg off. That gave me a good laugh. But yeah, I am right there with you. I would love to play Goldeneye with Natal. I can't wait. I'm excited to see Rare bring back some of the better games from the late 90's. Maybe we can get a descent Perfect Dark.

Hahahaha! I wouldn't go that far. I wonder if it would be an XBLA game since goldeneye wouldn't take up much space on a modern console. But if I had a 360 I'd probably pay $60 for this. Unless of course they asked for my leg

Conker's Bad Fur Day is one of the worst games ever made and remade. Wasn't Conker a groundhog? Someone contact Bill Murry and see if he's available because that game doesn't need another remake.
