Rumor: Possible new WoW races revealed for next expansion

OMGRPG has the inside scoop on two new races, Worgen and Goblins, which may be revealed to be in a new World of Warcraft expansion.
A couple months ago images were found in the World of Warcraft MPQ files with suspiciously new masks for this year's Hallow's End holiday event (see the image above of the Goblins and the Worgen). Today MMO Champion received word that these masks will indeed be the two new playable races for the upcoming expansion, whom many are calling Cataclysm.
While this isn't a surprising rumor, if it turns out to be true we will have two very cool concepts to play with in the next expansion: pirates and werewolves. A note on why I figure Goblins would be a Horde race: The Alliance already has an engineering joke race (gnomes), so it makes sense that the Goblins, so much the opportunists and outcasts, would join the rag tag horde.

I've been off this game for about year after about two years of playing and they just now decide to make goblins a horde race? there are sooo many new things they shouldve been adding every month with the millions of dollars blizzard makes.

I read an article about angry wives sending there husbands to WoW treatment... and it working. Just a little warning to all you WoW guys who actually have girlfriends/partners/trans-sexual lovers.... Looks like WoW addiction is real. I am so glad I could care less about this game, because if my ass is getting sent to professional help, it may as well be something a little more thrilling. Like crack.

If the Worgen are the new Alliance race, than that's awesome! And FYI, only sad, pathetic, no-lifers get "addicted" to this game.

Haha final fantasy 14 will make them lose some of their fanbase, a lot of people left final fantasy to play WoW from my Linkshell and game but I know that they will be back to the next MMO since it will be solo.
but nice to know WoW is getting new races good for WoW players.

Who gives a shit. Cane we please get Diablo 3 now? So it can replace WOW? At least if someone is going to be addicted, be addicted to a good game like Diablo.

You are all assuming that the races are going to be tied to a faction, however if you ever played the game you would know that goblins are neutral and interact with alliance and horde. The worgen don't have any allegiance either, and are hostile to both factions. What would make more sense would be to have them both be neutral factions (a 3rd new faction so to speak), or available on both sides (less likely). Personally, I hope that they are mistaken on whether or not these will be playable races, because I honestly don't care for either.
