LittleBigPlanet community hits 1 million levels

Media Molecule's build-it-yourself platformer has received 1 million user-created levels as of this morning.

This morning Sony announced via The Playstation Blog that the number of user-generated levels created in LittleBigPlanet has surpassed the 1 million marker. By Sony's calculation, this means that "a new level has been published roughly every 21 seconds since LittleBigPlanet launched... and those million levels have been played a total of 244 million times." In addition to this news, Sony has stated that Media Molecule will be making an announcement on August 18th, though no hints were given as to what the announcement will be.

My daughter and nephew play this dam game for hours, there are so many stages, the icons push each other out of the way. I wasn't to big on LbP at first because I was like, this is some dam kid shit. But there are some truelly amazing stages. To bad you you have to have Internet to really enjoy this gem.

I quit playing this one after the first month or so. Didn't like how limited the play was. Jump/Grab with uninteresting enemies and 99% of those million levels are very bad (mine included =) ). I'd get back into it if they added mouse/keyboard support for making levels. It just takes SO long using the joysticks...so frustrating.

I owned the game since launch... And Love it... To this day I still havent touched the create a level section...

Why waste time TRYING to make a level when there are 1 million other levels right at my finger tips... Even tho for me this isnt a play everyday game... I have no problems giving it 2 hours str8 of playing random levels online...

I dont even know how MM could expand on the game for a part two... But im willing to bet the announcement will be a demo and release date for LBP on the PSP...
