Confirmed: Aliens RPG canceled

ALIENS RPG IS DEAD: Sega and Obsidian's Aliens role-playing game has officially been canceled.
Aliens RPG may be no more, but we still have AvP and Colonial Marines coming out next year (click here for more AvP content)!
Sega's upcoming shooters based on the Alien franchise, Aliens vs. Predator and Aliens: Colonial Marines are still in development and on track to release in 2010 on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, but the new Aliens RPG has now officially been canceled.
"Rumors have circled around a bit regarding the fate of the Aliens role playing game that Obsidian and Sega had been working on. Unfortunately, it is true that we are no longer working on the game, and we wanted to finally announce that officially to everyone who has been following its development," -Obsidian

Sucks, but two out of three Alien games ain't bad--we still have Aliens vs. Predator and Aliens: Colonial Marines to look forward to.

Me too, the Aliens movies are among my favorites and I think a RPG would've been great.
But like Patrick says 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
I can't wait to play the new AvP.

This sucks a number of Balls....atleast three or four Balls. So, all we are going to get from this Deal is two, probably generic, shooting games? Instead of something Original like an RPG set in the Aliens Universe? WAY TO GO SEGA!!! Thanks for sticking with the Norm and not taking any chances with Original Big Budget Titles for Next Gen Systems!!

As long as we get Colonial Marines I'm happy; I've always been weary of Obsidian since they made KOTOR 2, so this doesn't depress me to as much of a degree as it could have.

As much as I want to play Colonial Marines, something tells me that it too will be cancelled before it's release date. I hope I'm wrong though.
