'Gold for $1' Xbox Live limited time offer for Silver members

Get it while the limited time offer is hot, as Xbox Live offers a one month Gold Subscription for $1

After Microsoft's re-booting of Xbox Live yesterday, some people experienced some technical issues inciting some obvious frustration. But, something that might cool some angry gamers heads, is a limited time offer from Microsoft to upgrade to Gold status at the price of a dollar for up to one month.

'Gold for $1' Xbox Live limited time offer for Silver members

Get it while the getting's good: Xbox Live Gold for $1

That's right, this isn't a technical issue or misprint, it's the real deal: Gold for $1. Of course, when the month is up, you'll be automatically charged for the next 11 months of membership, but you have the capability to opt out if need be.

The general price for a gold membership is $49.99 for 12 months, so if you're looking to upgrade, looks like now would be the best time to do it.

Yes, MS has faults, but they make up for it. Sony on the other hand....

This is great news. Let me count the ways.
First & my personal favorite> It will no doubt be amusing & entertaining to see what the sony trolls will have to say (wait for it)
2) I can reactivate my dormant secondary account & earn acheivements on it (that's right sony lemmings, sony copied that from M$ too) Just like your flawless BSN is a poorly executed copy of LIVE.
That's all.......... for now. I realize the irony & sarcasm is hard to convey via teh interweb, I've just been in a zone roaosting these bad kids today.

They make up for it by charging us $0 for a lifetime. Faults or not no complaining here. btw The PSN has not had tech issues that I know of yet.

I can't log on to my LIVE account, and when I do its messed up. Where is my free game like the christmas after HALO 3? In addition, what is the point of a $1 month when I'm going to be charged for other 11 months immediately after? I'd rather just buy a full year at amazon for 38.97 (and no they don't offer enough incentive for me to pay besides Gears 2 online)....

Also any silver members who just want a month, that's fine for them, but I hate cancelling and then having issues with customer service people, its not worth it in the end.
