VIDEO: Project Natal demoed on the Jimmy Fallon show

After its debut at Microsoft's press conference, Natal's next date with the public came on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night. How did the mysterious technology fare?

Say what you want about Jimmy Fallon and his Late Night program over on NBC -- but the man has stayed true to his promise about making games a big part of the show. He's already featued the new Punchout, went to E3 and had quite a few guests from G4.

Fallon's latest gaming segment was getting a hands on preview of Microsoft's highly anitcipated Project Natal. To my knowledge this is the first time we've gotten an actual live demonstration on air - -and not a canned promo video. I've had my doubts about the technology and it's uses, but I even I have to admit that it looks pretty impressive, especially the Burnout segment. Controlling the car looks simple, fun and quite responsive. It remains to be seen how the technology will translate to other established franchises though.

I must say though, if the game comes with the awesome orange jump suits -- I'm in.

If Project Natal works well when a spaz like Fallon is behind the camera, then the it might just be the real deal.

looks good but i wouldn't spend more then a half hour using it. plus i wouldn't hold my arms up that long just to play a car game. like i said before it looks good and all but more tiring then the Wii.

im excited for it in a sense, because hopefully if it does do well.it will help gain some more ground on the wii in sales.well atleast thats microsofts goal.though i am wondering how it will fair with shooting.cant think of any possible way of it detecting you re-enacting pulling a trigger.even if it doesnt work the way i envision it for shooters im sure they will come up with something.being shooters are one of the biggest genres on the 360.

Natal will fail... if kids wanted to jump around they'd go outside. Gamers hate exercise.

i was excited about the ball game for natal when i first seen it but now when i look at it it looks like even if you just stand in front of an oncoming ball youll hit it

but i will say burnout looks sick on it nice for racers
