The Unreal Engine 3-based game will be losing its cross-platform functionality and switching out a subscription pay system for one based on microtransactions.
If you're at all familiar with Huxley: The Dystopia, you likely know that it was long touted for its cross-platform play, a la Final Fantasy XI. At E3 today, however, South Korean developer Webzen Games revealed that while it will still be playable on both the Xbox 360 and the PC, gamers on one platform will not be able to play against those on the other -- a change made, presumably, because of their mismatched control schemes.
On the plus side, Huxley will be moving to a free-to-play system, with financial support for the game based on microtransactions of character equipment and the like. Being an MMOFPS, we're hoping players with enough skill will still be able to hold their own in an uneven fight.
Check out a bevy of screenshots from the game on GamePro's Huxley page, and then head back to our E3 hub for all the best news from the E3 Expo.

Cool this is one of the more promising games comming & to me the most potential for an mmo.IMO
No more stat roll fighting.. 8)
I expected there wouldn't be cross platform play, all that would achieve is having a lot of 360 owners POed from getting pwned by M&KB PC players.
