Moments before Bungie revealed that cryptic Halo: Reach trailer, it showcased some incredible gameplay sequences, including the iconic ODST experience: the drop.
Dutch is unsurprisingly gruff.
Halo: Reach might have been the big reveal, but up until yesterday, all we'd seen of Halo: ODST was a pre-rendered cinematic. An awesome cinematic, true, but pre-rendered just the same. So it is, with gratitude, we nod to Bungie for letting us see some sweet drop shock trooper action, story, in-game cinematics, and good old-fashioned blowing Brutes apart, all in one video.
Weeks before the events of Halo 3, The Rookie and his team dropped into New Mombasa. What does the game hold in store? Well, hold onto your helmets, watch the video, and find out for yourself!

Personally I'm really looking forward to ODST's "Firefight" Mode. Similar to Gears of War 2's Horde mode. It's Co-op tactical goodness!

Now, I haven't really cared much about this game. I played through the previous three games and didn't find them that fun, so I figured this would be the same.
Looking at the gameplay it seems like it could be something new, so I'll be renting it.
Also, did anybody realize the crew of the Serenity is doing what seems to be the main characters' voice-overs? Nathan Fillion is a confirmed VA, and during the gameplay vid you can hear Alan Tudyk and Adam Baldwin.
Sweet.
