Kojima reveals new Metal Gear Solid title for Xbox

The clock is still clicking on Kojima's "Next" website, yet today at E3, Kojima made a surprise appearance during Microsoft's media briefing, revealing that he will be bringing Metal Gear to the Xbox 360.

[Edit: Since this article, Konami has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be available for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3]

In a surprise appearance, Hideo Kojima, the mastermind behind the Metal Gear series announced today during Microsoft's E3 keynote that he is in development on a completely new Metal Gear title to the Xbox 360.

The game will be called, "Metal Gear Rising" and will be starring series veteran Raiden, from Metal Gear Solid 2 & 4. The title also claims to have "Lighting Bolt Action." Umm..... Sweet!

Although the secret behind the Raiden image has been revealed, what about the other images of Big Boss (if it is him) and that creepy mask? With the countdown on Kojima's website still ticking, it seems likely that Kojima has at least a couple more surprises for us at this years E3.

THE VERDICT by Sean Mirkovich Sean Mirkovich's Avatar For better or for worse (as many aren't on best terms with Raiden) it's a new Metal Gear title and I'm pumped. I also don't mind Raiden so much, especially when he's got "Lightning Bolt Action!" Let's just hope it doesn't have too much "Talking Endlessly With Rose Action." That'd be good.

Microsoft's press conference was truely amazing and this was another reason why. Now every single major third party series calls the 360 home.

The one issue is that Raiden isn't really a "sneaking" person and more of a "badass-own-you-in-the-face" type character. I wonder how this would work

no where are all the people that said "mgs4 is a movie or iMGS4 SUCKS"...i dont see any one on here now saying that...hmmm....anyway...good for xbox owners to get a great game. MGS4 is the best game period, so enjoy! i'll def play it when my friend gets it for his 360.

i think some peoples are getting confused, the big announcement is Microsoft is getting Metal Gear Soild Rising, and here from on out the future Metal Gear Soild games, along with PS3.. they aren't getting Metal Gear Soild 4 that is still exclusive to PS3.. the reason i am saying this, is because some peoples are talking about that game
