Microsoft's E3 press conference has started the week off right with their announcement of Halo: Reach.

Halo: Reach revealed

Rumored, hinted at in empty achievement lists (thank you, Xbox360Achievements.org), and now made official: Halo: Reach is coming to the Xbox 360.

While one team at Bungie plods away at Rookie's story for Halo: ODST, another team has been toiling away in secret on a prequel to the Halo Trilogy. A story previously told only in the novels, Halo: Reach will reveal the fate of the planet Reach, back in a time when there was more than just one Spartan.

It's scheduled for release in 2010, but we'll be able to play much earlier than that. Like the Crackdown/Halo 3 multiplayer beta combo, buying Halo 3: ODST will also grant access to the multiplayer beta of Halo: Reach.

Pats fan you are really starting to look like a moron, you know that right? You are pumped about COD MW2, but think there are to many Halos????? We get a new COD every year, for about the past 8 years. Can we all together say hypocrite? You love Metal Gear Solid, they are on 5 now? By the way, Metal Gear Solid is no longer exclusive. Metal Gear's creator announced that today. All upcoming Metal Gears will also be on the 360, and that huge announcement forthcoming about MGS, was announced today, first by Microsoft. You need to stop being a little asshole fanboy and enjoy what we have here in front of us. I can't wait.

hmm looks cool. All i know is that Halo IS pretty much Microsoft's biggest hit. I like how they are starting new things for halo, like ODST and this one. Its like giving it another way of playing halo games. But I think Halo and Halo 2 are the best of them. Anyways looks cool.

I am pumped to the max about the Halo games! There are so many stories to be told in the halo universe and its good to see that they aren't shying away from them. I will buy and play them all because not only do I want to know all the stories, they are also amazing games.

Don't be ignorant homie. I only own a PS3,but it would go beyond foolish to say that all 360 has going for it is Halo,and that nobody would own a 360 if not for Halo. 360 has some really strong reasons to own the system,it's just a matter of personal taste.

yeye. Loved the books, and the story of Reach is actually really entertaining. I hope they bring some of the characters from Eric Nylund's book.

Btw, the argument of them milking the series has been given multiple times, and we all crowned Nintendo the winner of milking in the end.

I am a huge fan of the Halo novels(read th efirst four and I'm currently working on the last two) so the fact that this will essecially be based on the first Halo novel(Fall of Reach has me extrememly excited. Now we will finally get to play thru th estory with more than one Spartan. I just hope they change the story so that all the Spartans don't die in the end. One way or another, this game will lead right up to the start of Halo 1.

Oh now lets not for get all the Final Fantasy games, oh yeah Nintendo milks the shit out of lets see ummmmmmm Mario...Almost forgot about Rockstar & the GTA series
