Debut trailer for Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing hits the web

Sonic and his buddies look set to race to the finish line in early 2010 on PS3, 360, Wii and DS.
Announced today, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing puts classic Sega characters from over the years in an action-racer akin to Mario Kart. Aside from Sonic, Sega's revealed that Dr. Eggman, Tails, AiAi, Amigo and others will also be playable characters. Additionally, Sega promises local and online multiplayer. Unlike Mario Kart though, Sega mentions that players will be able to race not only in cars, but planes, motorcycles and... a banana-mobile? I guess we'll have to wait and see what that means when the game releases next year. See below for the debut trailer.

I'm getting sick and tired of this crap. If anyone at Sega reads this please, eith kill off Sonic forever or please and that's a BIG PLEASE, make another 2D Sonic. Make one for the DS, Make another differant one for PSP, the PSP really needs more platformers, make one for the other 3 consoles all 2D. If you must add 3D make it in the lines of Klonoa or Paper Mario on Wii. It's obvious you can't make a good 3D Sonic so stop it, PLEASE!!!

Too be honest, this isn't the first time sega has created a sonic Racer. There is is already Sonic R and Sonic Riders

I don't know about this. chances are it will turn out to be crap or sub-par, or it could turn out to be incredibly fun. I'll wait until I see some actual game play footage before forming an opinion on this one.
