VIDEO: Iconic Nintendo Character Cameos as Punch-Out Opponent

One of Nintendo's most iconic characters is the last unlockable opponent in Punch-Out, but it ain't easy to reach him. Save yourself the grief and watch him in action!
Punch-Out released earlier this week to near-unanimous acclaim, from GamePro and the gaming media at large. Like most Nintendo titles, it's teeming with secret unlockables that fans need to find on their own. If you visit the "Characters" section of Nintendo's Punch-Out site, you'll notice that all but one of the opponents in the game has been revealed. Fortunately, gamers more skilled than you or I have completed the many difficult steps in unlocking the final opponent. Even more fortunately, the result is definitely worth the hark work.
We'll refrain from naming the character, in case you accidentally clicked the link and want to keep the secret alive. A video of the character is embedded below. I don't think it needs to be said, but here be a major SPOILER ALERT!
You can also view footage of the secret character in (poorly shot) action in (AGAIN, SPOILERS) this YouTube video.
How do you unlock this character? First, you have to defeat all of the other characters in normal and title defense mode. After that, you unlock "Last Stand" mode, which emulates the rules of Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, meaning you've got to defeat all thirteen of the other opponents without losing three times. Are you up to the challenge?
Now that's a final boss. And here I thought nobody could replace Mike Tyson. It's just a shame that only a fraction of Punch-Out players will complete every step to unlocking him. I'm currently struggling against Disco Kid in Title Defense mode, and doubting whether I'll ever be able to reach this final character. How are you guys doing in Punch-Out?

I'm just beat Don Flamenco last night, and took the Major title... now I'm on to the World Circuit... so far, I find the game to be a little easier than the original Punch Out! but I'm still not on the 2nd playthrough were you have to defend the title. I'm sure the game will be way more difficult, which is great. I wouldn't want to breeze through it on my first attempt. I really love the training, really great way to learn your opponent's moves. I really LOVE the game, having a blast!

My biggest concern was the gameplay with classic controls, and they absolutely nailed them. It plays EXACTLY like the old Punch Out, which is FANTASTIC!!! The game is really fun, and there are way more "modes" than the original. If you were a fan of the original Punch Out and you have a Wii, this game is definitely a MUST-BUY! Best Wii game since Mario Kart.
