Sims 3 leaked weeks early

Like their previous simulation title Spore, the third title in EA's Sims series has apparently leaked to torrent sites everywhere weeks before the game's launch.
It looks like pirates have crashed EA's party once again by spreading a leaked version of The Sims 3 on many torrent sites. Without linking to any of these sites, users are stating that the leaked game "plays just fine." The leaked version apparently contains little to none of the DRM restrictions or online activation requirements that got gamers in a fuss over Spore, and as such is currently spreading like wildfire. EA has yet to comment on the leak. Look for The Sims 3 on June 3rd.

im downloading it . but dont take me wrong , i already pre-ordered the game . my sister is a huge fan of the sims franchise and i download this just for ... think of it like a demo .

That's probably true. I don't think that DRM is the answer to prevent piracy. I know I gave up on buying Spore because of DRM. I didn't download it either. I just moved on and just spent my money on something else.

I just read on another site that there will be no DRM with this game. EA will only use a serial key. If that's true, I will buy it.

You might want to avoid the 360 then too - its rivaling pc piracy as we speak
