Apparently, crossing the streams isn't so bad in this new video for Atari's upcoming Ghostbusters: The Video Game, which promises new weapons, new enemies and multiplayer gameplay.

Atari released a new video today for their upcoming title Ghostbusters: The Video Game, which features all new weapons, enemies, a multiplayer option, and the ability to play as your favorite Ghostbuster. Ghostbusters fans will surely approve.

While the new weapons only seem to be slight size and color variations on the original proton pack streams, the new enemies are more impressive -- we spotted large, vicious-looking demon creatures, enemies who wielded shields to deflect your proton stream, and a host of spooky new specters. The multiplayer option is an added bonus to a game that looks to be a lot of fun. Also, the ability to play as your favorite Ghostbuster is an unexpected surprise: I have a hunch we'll see plenty of Peter Venkmans running around kicking some incorporeal butt later this June.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game is set for release on June 6th, 2009. It will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Playstation 2, Wii, and Nintendo DS.
