Activision confirms DJ Hero peripheral pics are real deal

A Twitter account going by the handle "DJHero" has posted the first known renders of what will be the DJ Hero turntable... and it looks pretty darn cool.

As announced today on GP News, the upcoming DJ Hero is yet another title in a long list of Activision games headed to college dorms and family living rooms. But just less than a day ago, a Twitter account named "DJHero" started uploading computer renders of what looked like a turntable controller, prominently featuring a colored Guitar Hero-style button layout. Activision recently confirmed with Kotaku that the mysterious photos are indeed representing an authentic model for a real controller, leaving only one big question:

Where the heck are the orange and yellow buttons on this weird contraption?

Check out the official DJ Hero site here, and stay abreast of more turntabalism on DJHero's account on Twitter. Feel free to shout out to us on the GP Forums about this, too.

THE VERDICT by McKinley Noble McKinley Noble's Avatar Our head graphics designer told me this thing looks "stupid," but I'm already stuffing money in my pillow for the day I can afford this. Let's hope that the music list has something decent. I'll even put up with DJ Jazzy Jeff if the tracks include stuff like the Beastie Boys.

This game is all me!! I been a DJ for a long time and I can't wait to see how they treat my favorite form of expression. I'm behind you Activision, don't let me down.

DJ Jazzy Jeff is one of the best mixers and DJs around. look up some of his stuff vids. Much love to the beastie boyz (Paul's Boutique) though.

Sounds like an interesting idea, but DJ Hero seems to be more like a Rap and Hip-Hop thing, I'm not into either, I'll pass.

This will be a good alternative to folks like that like or prefer hip hop / rap. I like guitar hero but I can only do that for so long. Need some music I love!

I agree jazzy jeff is a legend but what do you expect this site is so anti hip-hop. They're always bashing anything that has to do with hip-hop and everytime there's a game with a hip-hop artist on it they feel like they have to write a "black" review. Like with the 50 cent game that vid they did and calling him fiddy was really offensive.
