Call of Duty 7 could be set in Vietnam War according to report

Call of Duty: World at War's developer is rumored to be working on a new Call of Duty video game set during the Vietnam War.

ThatVideoGameBlog reports that Call of Duty: World at War developer Treyarch could be working on a new Call of Duty game set during the Vietnam War. According to the article, a source has told the website that Treyarch is licensing music from the Vietnam War era. CoD: World at War's senior producer Noah Heller has also previously said his team won't make another World War II shooter as they've put that war to bed.
It should be noted that this rumored project is a completely different game from the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which is being developed by Infinity Ward.

Bout time Treyarch moves away from the WW2 scene, it was getting playeddddd out already!!!! I like what Activision is doing. They're trying to keep the franchise fresh, by taking it out every year. kudos

it's about time they make a vietnam call of duty. You'd think they wouldve made at least one vietnam game with all the call of dutys that are out, but all are based on WWII, except 4. This isn't a disappointment to me at all, i'm glad they're making a cod based on a different war, i just hate those old crappy weapons.

Vietnam huh? While I do agree that WW II has been done to death I'm not so sure about a Vietnam game. It's kind of annoying to go from Modern Warfare back to a past war but this is just rumor so who the hell knows.

Uh Oh. Better be careful here with this game. There might be public outcry and the game will get canceled cause nobody wants a FPS set to a real war that Americans died in. 6 Days in Fallujah was canceled but its okey to make this game?

First Jump to Modern Warfare, then Jump back to WW2, then jump a bit forward to Vietnam. LOL.

This is the next logical choice for Treyarch, I have been saying to myself for a while that Vietnam is the next war to tackle. Imagine calling in a napalm strike!
