Ubisoft confirms Red Steel 2 for Nintendo Wii

Get ready to slice and shoot some more heads with your Wii mote, as Ubisoft announces a sequel to 2006's Wii exclusive title Red Steel.
Yesterday, the newest issue of Nintendo Power revealed an intriguing cover for the sequel to 2006's Wii exclusive first person shooter Red Steel. Today, Ubisoft made it official and offered up some details on the game's design and incorporation of the Wii MotionPlus.
"Red Steel was a unique opportunity for Ubisoft to work in tandem with Nintendo to create a title exclusively for the launch of the Wii console," said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing US at Ubisoft. "Red Steel 2 is another milestone for the company as it is the first Ubisoft title with full Wii MotionPlus integration.?
In conjunction with the addition of the Wii MotionPlus, the game seems to be taking on a newer, more Western aesthetic, being described as a "desert-bound, high-tech metropolis."
The game has no release date as of yet, but Ubisoft aims to have it ready for the Holiday season 2009.

well hopefully they will fix the unresponsive sword fighting this time...it ruined the first red steel game

Since they aren't under pressure to meet the console launch hopefully the game will be decent.. the first one wasn't bad.. nowhere near the best but far from the worst FPS.

yaaay!! i am a big fan of ubisoft, particularly rainbow 6 vegas, and was very sad they epic failed the first. that picture gets me geeked up.
