Uncharted 2 gets 10 player deathmatch, 3 player co-op

Gears of War 2 killer? Our recent hands-on time with Uncharted 2's beefy multiplayer component revealed that the PS3 exclusive could be a top contender.
In an unexpected turn, it's been revealed that the upcoming tomb-raiding adventure Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will have an extensive multiplayer experience (and the recently revealed multiplayer beta to be packaged with inFamous doesn't hurt the hype machine).
From a 5-on-5 deathmatch-style mode, a CTF-esque mode called "Plunder" where teams compete to collect the most treasure and a full 3-player co-op mode for the main game. We recently had the opportunity to check out all of the multiplayer modes in Uncharted 2, and we were taken aback to say the least. The deathmatch mode, which pits players in teams of five as either a "hero" or a "villain", can only be compared to the frantic fire fights found in heavy-hitting shooters such as Gears of War 2. GoW killer? Are you kidding me! Uncharted was good....Uncharted 2 will be good also but neither are as much fun to play as GoW. This is another PS3 exclusive that will sell a few hundred thousand copies and then wonder why it wasn't a huge success!

dude , you dont have to be such a party-pooper . you havent play it yet , how do you know it'll be bad . plus , gow2 online still has many many issues unresolved . developers know where they stand as of ps3 and so they dont expect high sale as of the 360 .

I am getting sick of the culture that every game has to have online multiplayer. Can't they just focus on making a good single player experience. What's next, will Zelda have online deathmatch mode?! Give me a break.

Yea, they are getting rediculous with the multiplayer... Shoulda just made it a RE5 Co-op play and thats it...
With all the shooters out right now... Why one earth would ANYONE pick up Uncharted of all games to play deathmatch?
The developers look extra dumb in this instance... how bout taking the extra memory and actually making the game long...

I couldn't agree with you more Solo, this desicion probably came from some bean counters and analysts that saw how well games sell that have multiplayer without taking into consideration that the makers of those great titles have unmatched experience in creating strong multiplayer games.
