GamePro reporter George Jones is live on the scene at EA Sports' annual pre-draft party for NCAA Football 10.

NEW YORK

EA Sports is hosting its annual pre-draft NCAA Football party at trendy midtown hotspot Providence tonight. It's a rare chance for gawky game reporters to mingle with the NFL's next generation of stars. This year's pre-draftees include USC Quarterback Mark Sanchez, Texas Tech receiver Michael Crabtree, USC LB Brian Cushing, Ohio State DB Malcom Jenkins, and more.

Hosting the festivities is ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews, who will be in the 2010 version of EA Sports NCAA Football as a sideline reporter as well as the host of the game's season mode.

After a short introduction by Erin Andrews, the future NFL draft choices adjourned to a downstairs VIP room where members of the media conducted interviews and photo sessions. For the uninitiated, this is a fairly trippy scene. Actually, who are we kidding? Even for the initiated it's a trippy scene. Anytime you combine hulking football players, slightly sleazy agent types, game journalists, mainstream journalists and a stunning collection of groupies and hangers-on, it's a little surreal. In an awesome kind of way.

We'll say no more and let the pictures do the rest of the talking. They're not perfect, but they definitely give you a feel for the party. Enjoy!
