PLAY AS JOKER IN NEW BATMAN GAME: An advertisement in PlayStation Home reveals that you'll be able to play as The Joker in the PS3 version of Batman: Arkham Asylum.

In the the PlayStation 3 version of the anticipated next-gen Batman video game, Batman: Arkham Asylum, players will be able to control the Dark Knight's sworn enemy The Joker. Even though the game is being released on multiple platforms, including Xbox 360 and PC, you'll only be able to play as The Joker on the PS3 version. This news first appeared on a billboard advertisement in PlayStation Home.
The portions of the game where you can control Batman's psychotic nemesis are not part of the main game but are part of the Challenge Maps.
Batman: Arkham Asylum comes out June 23, 2009.
If PS3 owners get to play as the Joker, what do 360 owners get? They should get something...

That is so lame. I'm a PS3 owner, but this is just dumb. If someone pays the same $60 for this game to play on their xbox, they should get the same game.
Anyways, my vote would be Poison Ivy. Nicole Kidman > Halle Berry

It is lame that not all console owners will get to play as the joker, but I am sure Sony paid up some dough to have the exclusivity of this playable character. Maybe Microsoft will try to match Sony's move somehow.

I bet this will end up as DLC for the 360. I'm not sure if there a Batman villian on par with Joker so its almost poitless to try to give the 360 owners a consolation character. They'll probably get screwed into waiting and paying for it.

yes! that is awesome! This isn't the first game to have some stuff better on one console than another. Such as most wii games that are also on ps3 and xbox 360, like Shaun White. I'm glad it's only for joker. It wouldn't matter if it were on the xbox 360 also, i'm just glad they have it available.
