Tiger Woods to be first game bundled with MotionPlus

Before Wii Sports Resort ships in July, a Wii EA sports game will be bundled with the new MotionPlus accessory--Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10.

Wii Tiger Woods and Grand Slam Tennis to be bundled with Motionplus

As if EA hasn't given us enough reasons to be flat out ecstactic for Tiger Woods PGA Tour '10, they go and make the offer even sweeter. For those of you Wii golf fans out there, your prayers have been answered!

Yesterday, EA Sports announced that the Wii version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 will be bundled with Nintendo's brand new Wii MotionPlus accessory when the title arrives in stores on June 15. For those of you accross the pond, the deal is even sweeter! EA announced that in Europe not only will TW10 be bundled with the Wii MotionPlus, but also Grand Slam Tennis.

EA Sports president Peter Moore laid out the details of the offer today, "This exclusive and limited-time offer is exciting news for sports fans who want to embrace their Wii experience for a great value with the new Wii MotionPlus right at launch with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10." Moore went on to add, "The functionality of the Wii MotionPlus will help us deliver the authentic, true-to-life sports motion for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and EA SPORTS Grand Slam Tennis that will redefine the sports experience on the Wii."

Expect both games to be in Stores around mid-June and to cost $59.99 with the bundle and $49.99 without. Both games are rated "E", and will likely be just the Wii MotionPlus appetizer for more titles to come this fall/holiday.

Verdict: I know people who have tested out the Wii MotionPlus and it doesn't mess around. Have a nasty slice on the golf course, you'll have the identical one in game. Which is great, if you're Tiger Woods and smash the ball straight down the fairway 98 times out of 100. But for the average Joe is this "improved" motion sensing only going to produce more frustration and less gameplay enjoyment? Only time will tell, but I have to imagine that there will be a wide range of difficulties on this so that the Wii can continue to be the console the whole family can play.

Sweet, as if the Wii version wasn't already way better than the other version, this happens! This is a good way to increase the user base for the WM+ and make the odds better for M+ only games. I also noticed the pay n' play logo on the cover, does it mean it'll have DLC?

This won't make up for dumbed down graphics,. god that pic looks disgusting . I'll stick with a Next-gen version.

WiimotionPlus is just another gimmick

This could effectively kill golf games on other consoles if it's done correctly.

Is everyone that's posted on here being serious? Or sarcastic? Because I mean, the Wii has promised alot before in terms of peripherals and games in general and only delivers once every 6 months. And seriously...it's golf. Who can get that excited about 'revolutionising how you play golf'? Maybe if Nintendo and EA do SOMETHING about some proper games they'd have a little bit of credibility. Maybe release Killzone or Gears and revolutionise those ones. As it stands, golf is no mean feat and they still haven't reached the lofty heights that they set for how the original Wii controls were gonna change gaming so I highly doubt this is gonna get anywhere.

Thanks for your input. No one cares.

This game was soooo awful for the Wii the last two years I won't buy it again...I don't care if the motion sensor makes it way better...I want to push buttons with precision, not flail my arms continuously and the ball doesn't respond to my swing...I can play real golf for that!
