New Fallout game announced: Fallout: New Vegas

Bethesda announces Fallout: New Vegas on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC for 2010.
LONDON, ENGLAND - Fallout: New Vegas for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment, formerly Black Isle Studios and developer of Fallout and Fallout 2, and is slated for a 2010 release date.
Details are scarce, but Bethesda said the game is not a sequel to Fallout 3, it's simply another Fallout game in the universe, and has no impact on Bethesda's Todd Howard and his studio's unannounced projects, which may or may not be Fallout related. Bethesda hopes to show the game for the first time later this year, but remained tight lipped on many details. Bethesda did confirm that Fallout: New Vegas will be the same sort of role-playing game as Fallout 3.
This is huge news! I'm going to make an educated guess that Obsidian has access to the Fallout 3 engine and will be making a similar open-world shooter game set in a new, post-apocalyptic Las Vegas where purified water is more important than money.

I wonder if they can involve tactical teams and air support and stripper zombies( I just watched the movie) I hope it's dope.

I know these guys came up with Fallout... but I wonder if they can make a better game than Bethesda! Fallout 3 will be tough to beat that's for sure. Either way, it looks like Bethesda is working on Elder Scrolls V which they would like to release sometime in 2010!

I wonder if this is the MMO they were working on... and now that the plug has been pulled on the MMO, they're gonna convert it to a single player game...

I hope you are right. I would be very happy indeed in 2010 if I have a new Fallout and a new elder Scrolls to play. Mass Effect 2 should come at the beginning of 2010 as well. Ah, good times.
