Sony: E3 2009 will be 'biggest E3 in 11 years'

E3 2009: Sony declares that this year's E3 will be packed with huge game announcements, making it one of the best E3s we've seen yet.

Over the last couple of years, the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo has been getting scaled back, both in size and importance, but Sony has announced that this year's E3 will be one of the biggest events since the video game trade show's inception in 1995.

In a news article on VG247, SCEA hardware marketing boss John Koller states that E3 2009 will be one of the best shows in over a decade. Koller also goes on to mention that Sony has a number of exciting game announcements both for PSP and PS3.

"We've just started planning what the announcements will be, but I've been here for 11 years: this will be one of the larger E3s in terms of software and just discussions about where we're going from a brand perspective and where each of the platforms is headed." -John Koller

Unless there coming out with a new system and some crazy games we could't even think of its not going to be any better then old school E3.

Big letdown coming thanks to how info will be leaked on the internet before E3. Technology sucks sometimes.

If that means at least some GOW3 footage with a release date in 09 or early 2010, and something on Team ICO's project, and MAG, then I'll be satisfied with that.

Here's to hoping Microsoft's and ESPECIALLY Nintendo's conferences are really good.

I surely hope so, Sony hasn't been steppin up. So when they said it's gonna be on and crackin. Let's see. Hey Gamepro how bought a contest for tickets to e3.
