A big update out of EA land today! Five new boxers have been revealed for Fight Night Round 4 on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
The five new fighters in Fight Night Round 4 are in addition to the seven that have already been introduced.
In addition to that, FNR4 producer Brian Hayes talks about the improved collision detection, punching, defensive mechanics and knockdowns among other fantastically violent things in an EA Sports video feature. On top of those thing, this video does a great job of comparing FNR3 to this year's title and shows not only the improved physics engine, but the graphical improvements as well.
The five newly announced boxers are:
- * Roy Jones Jr.
- * Sergio Mora
- * Kelly Pavlik
- * Vinny Paz
- * Jermain Taylor
The previous seven boxers already announced are:
- * Muhammad Ali
- * James Toney
- * George Foreman
- * Lennox Lewis
- * Eddie Chambers
- * Joe Frazier
- * Mike Tyson
I also sincerely think that that is Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton in the image of Vinny Paz uppercutting a white fighter, so you can more or less sleep well tonight knowing he's in the game. Check out the photo gallery of boxers announced for FNR4 after watching Brian Hayes talk about the new physics engine.

Fight Night R3 is one of the few games me and my brother play together. We take it extremely serious. lol, he beat me just yesterday when everyone was over for Easter (yeah, in front of my entire family).
I can't wait for R4. It looks amazing.

I wonder if its old George Foreman, or the young one, the one who knocked down Frazier like 10 times in both their fights. "down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier"
Also I would love to play as the original "Hitman" Thomas Hearns. This series always had Leonard, Duran and Hagler, so why not Hearns? You can't have all those mentions fighters, without the motor city cobra, Thomas Hearns.

"I'm not a sports fan at ALL. But Fight Night Round 3 is one of my favorite games (Fraiser!), and I can't wait to learn more about FNR4. Any other closest Fight Night fans out there?"
Lol, i can tell. It's spelled Frazier. anyway, this game is going to be awesome, just like the last. And i'm glad they have Roy Jones Jr. I cant wait. This is one of my favorite sports' game's series. Second place, behind Madden.

Pacman Paquiao is not even there. He is more popular than that arrogant Hatton. What gives? Only American fighters? Only British fighters. Only Mexican fighters?

EA is letting the roster trickle out, but I'd bet my life savings (which isn't much) that Manny Pacquiao is in the game. He was in FNR3, he's one of the best active fighters out there right now, they'll have him in there, no worries. There's one unannounced fighter like Hatton but I couldn't ID him. He's in the teal trunks in this screenshot fighting Sergio Mora. Does anyone know who he is off the top of their heads?
Woah...now that I take a second look at him, if you look at the "W" on his trunks in that first screenshot and the "KY" on his trunks in this screenshot, combined with staring at his ugly profile I'm pretty certain that's Ronald "Winky" Wright.
