A screenshot of a Xbox Live Theme on Rare's forum is fueling speculation that the Nintendo 64 classic Perfect Dark may be getting an Xbox Live Arcade release.
Juggo is in big trubbo.
Xbox360Achievements.org is reporting that the eagle-eyed commenters on Rare's Banjo-Kazooie blog have noticed that a screenshot of the game's premium theme includes an all new game icon featuring a person with a striking resemblance to Perfect Dark's redhead protagonist, Joanna Dark. As the only other chapter of the series (Perfect Dark Zero) has already been released on the Xbox 360, it has led many to believe that the classic Nintendo 64 first-person shooter Perfect Dark will soon be heading to Xbox Live Arcade.
Joystiq reached Rare for comment, and they replied with the standard "We have nothing to announce at this time." However, seeing as how the company has recently released their N64 platforming hit Banjo-Kazooie on Xbox Live Arcade, a port of their beloved shooter would be welcome.

Holy shit..please be true. Online multiplayer for perfect dark 64 would be brilliant. Goldeneye would be equally as sweet if not better. I hope this rumor isn't just a bullshit rumor. Perfect dark 64 is a great game and would kick lots of ass on XBLA.

I think Perfect Dark came out for the N64 back in '98 or something. Anyways, my friends and I played the shit out of it, and still do! Love going up against the computer. Love the pinball grenades, especially in the parking garage level. This game is equal to, if not better than Goldeneye's multiplayer. I totally agree with Dave. Perfect Dark Zero was horrible. Hopefully, it hasn't killed plans to make a way better follow up to one of my favorite games of all-time.

Perfect Dark on the N64 is one of the best games, Zero wasn;t that good though. Ever since Rare was sold to Microsoft, it seems like rare doesn't care anymore and just released shitty games. I do hope they release it. N64 games don't look that good on my HDTV, so id get it, especially with online mutliplayer. I still think Rare should of stayed with Nintendo thought, thats when they made the best games.

It came out in June 2000. I remember it like it was yesterday ;)

The main reason why this game would be good is because it wouldn't have the shitty ass N64 controls. But a graphical update is a must as well.

Pefect Dark 64 is GoldenEye with a new skin and more weapons. I didn't love it as much as GoldenEye but that's still saying a lot considering how much i loved GoldenEye. It would be great for that to come out but i believe that game was published by Nintendo so i dn't know if it could come out on the X-box
