Microsoft working on next Xbox. Surprised?

Recent comments made by Activision at the Game Developers Conference last week confirm that Microsoft is already hard at work on the next Xbox, something that will surprise absolutely no one in gaming.
fake concept design
Sometimes it's what a company say it's not doing that grabs your head and twists it around. Case in point, Blizzard veep of game design Rob Pardo is flatly denying rumors the company's been rapping with Microsoft about a hypothetical Xbox 360 successor (unimaginatively dubbed 'Xbox 720' by the mathematically literalist media).
Pardo reportedly told folks at GDC that Blizzard was talking with Microsoft about its next-gen games console. And then he told GameSpot he wasn't.
It's no secret high level execs yak about this stuff behind hermetically sealed walls and chambers, probably carrying around microscopic explosives that could blow open their carotid arteries if they squeal. Occasionally something leaks anyway (or appears to) then bangs around the blogosphere with exaggerated gravitas.
With the Xbox 360 over three years old, it's as likely as not that Microsoft's already broached the subject of its Xbox 360 followup act (in one form or another) with whoever it's dubbed worthy. But that's about as prescient on my part as suggesting Toyota's presently rendering concept sketches of its 2012-2013 midsize lineup, i.e. "it's the common sense, stupid."

Is it gonna have anything that already isnt in a PS3? LOL
And if it does, are they gonna be able to keep it under $400-500?
I think it's gonna have something that the PS3 doesn't.........GAMES!

Slm, Games like what Bioshock 2, Tekken 6 or Final Fantasy right? LOL
You lames are even evolving your arguments... The whole games argument is soo 2007... Fact is your RPGs are weak... And the only system seller worth talking bout is GOW2...
More games DONT equal Better games...
Where all the killer games for 09? The hottest new 360 games are ports of PS3 exlcusives... Please dont mention games... thats an uphill battle you cant win right now...

aslong as they take thier time in making the system so it doesnt take a crape after a year or so like the 360 with the lights of death, it'd be already a better system than the 360. microsoft has to stop rushing thier systems to try and beat sony and nintendo to the punch by just throwing at us faulty hardware which they know probably woulnt last very long

Microsoft can kiss my you know what. The way they botched the 360 leaves a sour taste in my mouth to this very day. Here's my point; I had the RROD 6 times and after the 5 time, I sold this piece of garbage to get a ps2. Don't get me wrong, XBL is a wonderful service the games are great but the system sucks. I don't see myself getting a new generation xbox any time soon. The only way I see myself getting it, is if it's a reliable machine. For now, I'm sticking with Sony. It least their machine doesn't crash in record numbers.

I've heard the next XBOX will have none of those pesky Red Ring of Death problems that have plagued the 360. This new machine will just simply explode.
