Xbox 360's product management director Aaron Greenberg claims the GTAIV DLC sold so well, it would've outsold Killzone 2 at retail.

Talking to Gamasutra, Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg attributes the success of the exclusive DLC Lost and Damned for GTAIV to the online marketplace medium, stating "[publishers] could never really deliver that kind of experience at retail." Greenburg goes on, saying:

If that content was sold at retail, it would be one of the best sellers across all platforms," he added. It would have outsold Killzone 2.

This quote rubbed many in the press the wrong way, as it was considered unfair to compare sales of the two games (one of which was DLC) that were released at seperate times (sales figures for Killzone 2 only reflected a few days worth of sales). Sony has yet to comment on this at the time of this writing.

A fairer comparison would be the GTA4:LaD versus Resistance Fall of Man2... IMO.

Hey I would've bought LoD if it was on ps3 cause I can't play FpSz they make me dizzy and it don't cost but what $15 that's a buyer all day

heh we got in 2 retail copies whn it came out..havent recived any since they sold out that day..still have alot of ppl ask bout it..and whn i tell some..that its not a disc..but a card to d-load it form Live..they look at me and say..'huh? what you mean..how you do that?'..doh!

ohh what killzone 2 isnt on the 360 so they have to knock it? how about comparing the dlc sales to halo 3 if it were to come out on the same day? ohh yeah you paid 40+ million for a 20 dollar dlc...way to go microsoft....

No smart one that would never work, Halo 3 has sold millions and millions of copies and has been out for a while. Both Killzone 2 and GTA4 LaD are basically new games, so it's fair game.
