New Terminator lightgun game in the works

In a nod to Midway's classic 1992 arcade classic Terminator 2: Judgment Day, an arcade lightgun shooter based on the upcoming Christian Bale fim Terminator Salvation is in the works.
The rumor comes courtesy of Arcadeheroes.com, and seems to confirm rumors I had heard back in the 2008 holiday season while working on the recent Terminator Salvation cover story for GamePro magazine (March 2009 issue).
To this day, Terminator 2: Judgment Day is still considered one of the all-time classic arcade lightgun shooters. Based on the phenomenally popular film, the Midway-developed game was considered state-of-the-art for its time due to its digitized graphics and Schwarzenegger sound bites. It was also really hard -- anyone remember trying to save John Connor in the truck, or trying to kill the T-1000 once and for all? Hard times, my friends, hard times.

Does Gamepro get paid to announce Terminator games. Because they suck. please stop announcing terminator unless you can prove it's not gonna go down in flames.

Hey, a spiritual successor to T2: Judgment Day would be AWESOME. With 3D graphics and shit? Damn, that'd be something I'd kill to play.

Well tone, I guess lightgun shooters are to the wii what FPS games are to the 360. A dime , a dozen.

don't you mean on rails shooter, becuase light guns aren't made anymore. The wii uses a pointer, not anything close to a light gun

The wii remote's pointer can be programmed where it can mimic a light gun's accuracy as close as possible so wherever you aim the remote at the tv is where you actually aim on screen just like a light gun. House of the Dead does this I think.

I just saw two different "LIGHT GUN" accessories on Gamestop.com. One is from Nintendo and the other from Nyko. they both look like guns to me.
