Microsoft and FromSoftware announced today that Xbox 360 exclusive "Ninja Blade" has gone gold and will ship to retailers in North America on April 7. FromSoftware, well-known for their work on "Armored Core" and the "Tenchu" franchise, created a modern ninja epic where Ken Ogawa and his team of skilled fighters battle a terrifying disease that transforms the citizens of Tokyo into an infected monster horde. Armed with an extensive arsenal of ninja weapons and abilities, including Ninja Vision and Todom? Attack, players confront grueling challenges in their mission to save humanity.

Get a head start on the action by downloading the "Ninja Blade" demo on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Available March 9, this free demo will provide players with an engaging first look into the world of Ken Ogawa and a chance to battle the monster horde before the game hits store shelves in April.

Additionally, when players pre-order the game at retail, they will receive a token that's good for an exclusive "Ninja Blade" Premium Theme Pack on Xbox LIVE, a full week before anyone else. The Premium Theme Pack will include five avatar backgrounds including "Ninja Blade" weapons, Japanese Gardens and Tokyo skyscrapers. The pack will also contain four NXE-compatible wallpapers featuring the Tokyo skyline and various "Ninja Blade" characters.

lol, dude, when they say 'gold', they're saying the game is ready to be shipped. Its past production and on to distribution.

I can't wait to try this! NG@ was good but still way to hard and less fun.

Hopefully this game will play like Shinobi from the PS2. That game was superior in control and challenge to Ninja Gaiden Xbox (Black, etc). Anyone who beat the ridiculous last boss on Shinobi accomplished way more than what the more popular NG had to offer as a challenge.
