CALL OF DUTY: WORLD AT WAR DOWNLOADABLE MAPS ON THE WAY

Santa Monica, CA -- February 10, 2009 -- New conflicts are on the horizon for one of the most intense online multiplayer games of 2008, as Activision Publishing, Inc. and developer Treyarch, announced plans today to release Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1. Due out in March, Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1 will take Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC fans to the streets of a war-ravaged Berlin in "Nightfire," deep into deadly jungles to attack fortified Japanese positions in "Knee Deep" and through a bombed out underground subway system in "Station." Can't wait for the new Nacht Der Untoten map...love the minigame. I've probably played that more with my friends than I have of any other MP map.

Cool. But it's a shame that Infinity Ward only released one map pack for Call of Duty 4. Was hoping we'd see at least one more before World at War took over. Oh well...

While I don't necessarily agree with the pricing on much of the DLC, and it kinda sucks to have a game release new maps a few weeks after launch.(why not include it in the full game) I do have to admit that it can breathe new life into old stale games that I might have quit playing.

quit your bitching, its frickin cool that they are improving on the already addicting zombie minigame, i will gladly fork out the money for it. i told you guys cod4 was going to fall off the map slowly.
