Bad blood brews between Splatterhouse and Afro Samurai.
Recent news indicates that Namco Bandai has pulled the plug on BottleRocket, the development studio contracted to work on Splatterhouse. All assets and developer kits were removed last Friday as confirmed by Kotaku. Instead, Namco plans on completing the game with its internal game label--most likely Surge, the creative group behind Afro Samurai.
BottleRocket had worked with the Afro Samurai team earlier in the devlopment process, but claims that their contributions to the workload was less than helpful. In addition to missing deadlines, Namco Bandai states that the work submitted for the game by the BottleRocket team did not meet its standards. The company has rougly three months before it clears out their offices in California.

The game looked bad from the start they really need to change the look of the main character he looks like an 80's cartoon villain, hell Rocksteady and Be-bop look more up to date than that character.

I agree I thought I was the only one haha... I personally thought the game didn't look like it played to well and would be somewhat over hyped for more than what it actually was..
At least Namco didn't release a piece of shit game.. It's good to know that there are still studios concerned with quality instead of just cashing in on a name..
Here's to hoping they can make this a quality game..
