Killzone 2 demo: play it this Thursday

Download a playable Killzone 2 demo on the PlayStation Network in three days.

Guerilla Games' upcoming FPS sequel to 2004's Killzone on the PS2 releases on the PlayStation 3 February 27 (read GamePro's Killzone 2 review here), but you can play the game in just three days if you've pre-ordered Killzone 2 at GameStop.

The playable Killzone 2 demo will be available for download February 5, which is this Thursday, and will consist of a tutorial level in addition to two areas from the first stage in the game. In the Corinth River mission featured in the demo, you and your ISA squadmates land on a beach via flying infantry-transporting vehicles, and engage an overwhelming number of Helghast enemies on their own turf, a scenario that's reminiscent of World War II's The Invasion of Normandy.

This is 09 Game of the Year. Perfect gameplay, story and graphics. This is as close as one can get to Crysis level graphics on a console

I understand that this is going to be one of the games of the year. But why should I have to pay $5 to play the demo?

cuz your putting $5 towards getting the game... Why would it matter? If you dont want the game get your money back or reserve something else.. Lol

This will be the first decent shooter that the PS3 has gotten. It does look sweet but I'll reserve judgement until I play. After all, I wouldn't want a repeat performance of Killzone 1(another over hyped game that failed to live up to expectations).
