The Resident Evil 5 demo is finally here, exclusive to the Xbox 360 for one week before it shows up on the PlayStation 3. And according to the official press release, which you can read below, the Resident Evil 5 demo is packed with massive amounts of gameplay content for demo standards, allowing players to experience three levels of single and two-player cooperative play, meet new characters, and play with plenty of weapons. Let the mayhem begin!
We've played plenty of Resident Evil 5 in the past, exposing new bosses and unseen environments, but the newly released Resident Evil 5 demo is your chance to experience everything we've been raving about.
Good morning - Xbox 360 is inviting members of Xbox LIVE to be among the first to get hands on with an exclusive, playable demo of the upcoming "Resident Evil 5," available one week before anywhere else, starting today for Xbox LIVE Gold members.* The launch means that millions of Xbox LIVE members around the globe will get access to this special sneak peek before any other platform.
In preparation for the eagerly awaited arrival on Xbox 360, March 13th 2009, Resident Evil fans will be challenged to be the first to find the secret at www.Xbox.com/RE5, then head to www.residentevil.com/Kijuju to crack the code starting at the end of January.
As part of the demo launched today, fans will be able to get hands-on with new "Resident Evil 5" features including three new levels of single- and two player co-op play (limited to Gold members), characters, weapons and environments. In this latest installment of the renowned survivor-horror franchise, returning "Resident Evil" hero Chris Redfield is joined by new partner Sheva Alomar to take on the frightening effects of the latest bioterrorist attack in the depths of Africa.

360 exclusive? S**t, I was really hoping to play a demo on my PS3, but it looks like I'll have to wait. And the ironic part is that I really hate this game...with passion and I'm still probably gonna buy it! Go figure.

Good thing I own a 360 and a PS3. Already Dl and playing this tonite! PS3 brothers no need to worry, you will get all of this zombie goodness soon. Wiiboys , will get Deadrising as a nice " sorry, you don't have the hardware to support this game" prize

Jesus Tap Dancing Christ!!!!! except for storage media and a few minor issues, the 360 and the PS3 are damn near equal. WHat would be better on the PS3 version anyway if anything hmmm? 2 more hairs visible on the main dudes beard stubble?
Give it up. Usually on multiport releases ESPECIALLY if they are coming out on the same day the games will look the same if the platforms are similar in power so I doubt anything will really be different in each game.
And for the love of god, as far as which system is better, I for one only care about gaming and i have my net access at my console so the xtras like wireless and blu ray and media ports and blah blah blah, I couldn't care less about those. I buy game systems for games, anything else is just a lil xtra perk so once again, the systems are essenitally equal as far as how games look, play, sound, etc so stop saying that R% will be better on system this or system that!

Video games suck now. I don't even know why I'm on this website. This generation of video games has been the worst ever I think. I never use my PS3 for games. I only watch movies on the effed up thing. It just sits there collecting dust. And this is the third Xbox 360 I have had. The RROD really seems to like my 360's. I'm still waiting for my current one to be sent back. My Wii is the only real console I have for games. And none of them are fun anymore. I beat Twilight princess, Glaxies and Brawl is nauseating to play now, and there aren't any new Wii games comming out that are any fun. I mean come on so much money spent for a shiny useless blu-ray player, a console that's faulty constantly and a gayass kiddy console where you wave a noisy remote around. The games are too expensive and they don't last very long. Fuck this.

The demo is so damn hard! I've played it single-player, co-op on Live, co-op with friends who own 360's and PS3's (so they have an idea of how the game works) but I still can't get past the dude with the chainsaw!
