You're in the movies!

Director Len Wiseman of Underworld and Live Free or Die Hard fame recently sat down with Bloody-Disgusting to talk about his plans as the director of the anticipated Gears of War movie adaptation. Wiseman reveals some interesting tidbits about movie plans for GoW:

The hope is that we're wanting to do three movies and really cover the bases on everything. Basically a harder edged Lord Of The Rings.

Wiseman will also be sharing writing duties for the film with Chris Morgan, who co-wrote last year's Wanted (and also co-wrote the story for the upcoming Wanted: Weapons of Fate). Wiseman also notes that he's been "thinking quite a bit" about 3-D technology, which judging from the slew of 3-D movies coming out nowadays may make its way into the big screen adapation of Gears of War.

Lord the rings was a little long but verry cool. I hope Gears of War movies is a triligy too.

After looking at Marcus Fenix, I see Brain Bosworth being called up for a serious " acting career" adreinlin injection.

Please, don't lump a video game with cheesy action movie dialog in with a masterpiece like LOTR. Seriously no matter how good the GOW movie turns out it won't be able to hold a candle to LOTR.

Also, does this make Dom into Samwise?

If Gears: The Movie can get even close to LoTR it will be an amazing movie. NO 3-D please. All 3-D movies lack quality.

they dont need to do it like LOTR, it should be like a mix between LOTR and Saving Private ryan...
