GamePro Arcade tells why they are so excited about this unorthodox PlayStation exclusive.

When I saw Flower at E3 last year, it blew me away. It was innovative, visually stunning and hard to describe. Today on the PlayStation blog, thatgamecompany President and co-founder Kellee Santiago announced that Flower will be available for download February 12th.

I bust Sony's chops almost weekly about not offering up consistent downloadable titles, but at least when they do cough it up its pretty damn good. However, this leads to an interesting question - With Microsoft and Nintendo giving gamers weekly downloadable games and lots of options, does Sony's "quality over quantity" approach work for gamers?

So what do you think? If you're a PS3 owner, are you happy with what you get or do you wish you had more choices? If you're a Wii or 360 owner, does the constant flow of new content excite you or do you view half of all the choices you have as pure shovelware?

oh, well that is a shame. quanity in the amount of games found on the Wii? or how about, the quanity doesn't matter, as long as the games ARE of quality? i win

If there was ever a so-called "casual" game, a game for girls, or any of those other things people say about the Wii, this PS3 game is definitely it.

I give them credit for trying something original though I don't think i'll be enjoying this for too long. But... you never know.

I've heard about this game, and it caught my attention too. I've been very pleased with the downloadable games i've bought on PSN, mind you I've only bought a couple, but if I had some extra belt loops on my credit card there are definitely many more I would buy. I've recently bought Echochrome and Everyday Shooter, both of which are fantastic.

The only thing gay-er than this game would be an actualy gay sex simulator. No offense to gays.

I agree at least they're trying something new, it does look really lame but at least it's not a $60 game.

As a 360 owner, I like the quantity of games released, they all have a free demo, so if it is crap, you don't have to pay for it. if it is decent, then you can, there is so much varity out there, what is shovelware to some is a fun arcade game to others. You premiss on the ps3 only releasing quality downloads, is a little flawed. it assumes they are all quality, when in fact many people will not like flower. and don't like many of the games already released.

I vote quantity, since you don't have to buy if you don't like it, and I would rather have more options
