Gears of War 2 Flashback Maps hit Xbox Live

Remember when Cliffy B. stated that the only way to get the flashback maps was to purchase the game brand new? Well obviously that was a lie or a mix up of some sort, since we now can get them for a low price of 400 Microsoft Points.

For the price of a XBLA classic title, you can frag fools on the classic maps from Gears 1. You're paying about a dollar a map, a good deal if I may say so. Unless you bought the game, then you should go for the combustible map set!

In the set you will get revamped versions of the following maps Canals, Gridlock, Mansion, Subway and Tyro Station. Each was redone to show improved visuals and the test of time! For example Canal's is now frozen over leaving no water to be found. Mansion also lost its water to show off the sunlight a little bit.

Let's hope that now that these packs are available for a deal, that epic puts them in the full rotation soon in the many game modes. Also with the much anticipated Gears updated heading our way soon we can expect many of the follies plaguing the title to be fully fixed and put Gears back on top of the charts!

Hell no. I got these maps for free because I bought the game legit, but I won't buy the Combustible map pack on principle alone. DLC for $10 less than a month after I bought the game for $60? These maps should have been on the retail disc, or available for free download if they weren't quite ready in time. What a joke to leave maps out so they could milk a few extra dollars off the game.

And besides, I don't even want these maps because I can't stand playing this mess of a glitchy, laggy online experience anyway. It's fun to play local multiplayer with bots though.

400 points is how ALL map packs should cost. THAT is a MORE reasonable price.

Ha Ha- Spiffy B. is eating his own words. He said no way in hell these maps would be available unless you buy the game. Trying to get those used copies off the shelves? more people online? buggy, laggy, gameplay won't do that..... overrated

Nah, it's ridiculous. If you don't pay the $10, you can't play with most of the people on Live because they did buy them. It's almost like a toll, and it goes unnoticed for some reason. Maybe because it's Gears, I don't know. And if bitching doesn't solve anything, then don't respond anymore because that's exactly what you're doing.

I just bought an elite, and for some reason it wont connect to xbl. i ran an ethernet cable down to my basement finally, and my ps3 connects right away when i plug it into it. My 360 (for some ridiculous hardware reason (and 360 has a lot of those)) wont connect when i run the test. I just beat the campaign on gears 2, it had a lackluster ending, but suprise. Not like they're gonna try to milk that cow for all its worth or anything. I'd like to try it out online, but xbox has lame hardware. Anyone that tries to say anything against me.. f. u. and i've tried everything, 360's are just made of bullshit and a couple of screws and theres no arguing it.
