I wonder what the DOA girls look like in 3D...

According to the article, Blitz Games Studios (primarily known for developing SpongeBob Squarepants and American Idol video games) has revealed that in 2009 the PS3 will support both stereoscopic 3D and Blu-ray 3D gaming.

Only one announcement has been made so far concerning what 3-dimensional games will be released on the PS3, the video game adaptation of James Cameron's 3D sci-fi action film Avatar (not to be confused with the animated TV show), which like the film it's based on, will take advantage of modern 3D technology.

You can read the full story on the PS3 going 3D on Shacknews here.

3D gaming is not a new phenomenon. Check out this retro commercial for the SEGA Master System in 3D below.

THE VERDICT by Patrick Shaw Patrick Shaw's Avatar Can you imagine playing games like Resident Evil in 3D? Mario 3D would be a rad way to top Mario Galaxy too. What games would you all want to play in 3D if you could?

Great...something else that will be delayed a year. Not sure if playing games for hours with those 3D glasses is any good for your eyes.

Don't they already have 3D games at Disney world and Disneyland? Now, they even have a 4D which I think is a make up thing. It's really 3D but they named it 4D. 4D in theory is time so yeah.

P.s.: If you are so smart, then what is the speed of dark?
