Independent developer gets cold shoulder from Nintendo, starts 100 day protest

Five years in the making, independent game developer Bob Pelloni's DS RPG "Bob's Game" might not see the light of day.
Bob Pelloni has spent the last five years of his life creating "Bob's Game," a DS RPG that may never reach gamer's hands. The game appears to take elements of top-down RPGs like The Legend of Zelda and Earthbound which can be seen in videos he's posted on his site.
Due to the fact that he's been waiting for an SDK (a toolkit developers use to create games on specific consoles) from Nintendo of America and has yet to hear back, Pelloni has decided to "protest" against NOA by locking himself up in his apartment for 100 days while he awaits a call back (and continues to code Bob's Game). His site has a live feed from his room, and also a message to gamers to contact Nintendo if they really wish to play his game.

Maybe the game is gonna suck, but Nintendo doesn't have the heart to tell them.

The problem is that as innovative as Nintendo is trying to be, they are reluctant to take risks on stuff like this. I was curious about the SDK for the Wii and found there was no way you'd ever even start a project without an established company first.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Nintendo has nothing to lose by sending him a dev kit, especially since he's already shown such dedication to completing this project. Worst case scenario they don't approve the game. Seriously Nintendo, get your act together and send the guy a dev kit already! The game looks like I might actually try it out.

Who the hell is Bob and who cares. Your game sucks and you deserve to be shafted. Quit acting like someone cares that you are locking yourself in your room like a little baby and get out in the real world and be a man.
