Voice chat removed from PlayStation Home

As part of yesterday's 1.04 patch update to Sony's PlayStation Home, voice chat communications has been temporarily suspended.
According to the PlayStation Home forums, the reason for temporarily suspending voice chat in Home patch 1.04 is to lighten the load on the servers "due to high demand for [Home]."
"As soon as we are ready to resume the voice chat feature, we will inform you via PlayStation.com and PlayStation.Blog. In the meantime, we encourage users to make use of the Wireless Keypad for PLAYSTATION 3 or any USB or Bluetooth-enabled keyboard for text chat and also the "phone friend" features to communicate within PlayStation Home."
Hopefully removing voice chat from PlayStation Home is truly a "temporary" accord. Typing sucks with the Sixaxis controller, and I'm too lazy to swap around my USB keyboard. Does anyone here even own the wireless keypad? We have one here in the GamePro office and it works quite nicely.

Well that explains why I wasn't able to use my headset yesterday. Personally, I'm fine typing with the Sixaxis controller, but I also own the wireless keypad. Unfortunately it broke on me, so I'll have to get a new one.

Home blows! I can't understand why anyone would go on there... it's absolutely pointless. There better be WAY more stuff to do in the real version, right now it's not even worth the HDD space.

Damn shame not only is it over priced at fuckin' $50 it's broken on u already lmfao...I'm glad I'm not buying it now...I'll wait for it to get as cheap or cheaper than the 360' Chatpad

I go on HOME everyday, and I love it. I wont use the headset but I do want to get a wireless keypad. They are too expensive right now

What do you do in home though? Talk to friends? I went on Home and all I saw were advertisements, and things that I could buy....great! And I find it funny that Sony wasn't ready..AGAIN..to support something that they thought would be a hit from the start. You wouldn't know it by reading the story on this site, but Sony has a long way to go. Oh, and thanks Gamepro for the God of War screens that look like they came from storyboard art. Why not just wait until the game is near completion? Can't wait that long? HAHAHAHA

Darn, voice has been suspended, now I can't listen to annoying 14 yr olds hit on every female avatar on screen and string together random words when creating their own version of profanity.
