New Flower footage a far cry from green pastures

New Flower gameplay footage reveals manmade structures as you possibly fly towards civilization.

An early preview build of Flower dropped in our laps today and we've got some interesting news. The game may feature far more than green pastures and fields of flowers. By the end of the game you may actually be flying across streets of a sprawling cityscape collecting flower pedals from homeowner's balconies.

As you can see in the gameplay footage and screen shots we captured from the game ourselves, the third level has you zipping past and activating manmade windmills, while telephone poles and power lines can be seen in the distance. These objects are gradually introduced as you play, which leads us to believe the game's progression eventually leads to a city.

Not playable Flower cutscenes also reveal a monochromatic city, complete with zooming traffic. Could this be your final destination?

Oh, good grief. I thought the PS3 was a console for so-called "hardcore gamers". And now it's getting it's own take of the Wii's Endless Ocean.

It's visually amazing, but I don't see it as being very entertaining. A new Boogerman game would be fun :D
