Gears of War 3 in 2010, 5-player co-op?

Development on Gears of War 3 may already be well underway and is rumored to feature a new five-player cooperative experience.
According to the Rumor Mill section in the latest issue of EGM, Epic Games is currently working on Gears of War 3, which will feature a "far more ambitious five player co-op experience." Based on the huge success of Gears of War 2 it's safe to say that this rumor is most likely true. And since Gears 2 already featured a five player cooperative mode (Horde), GamePro's best guess is that players will be taking control of Marcus, Dom, Baird, Cole, and Carmine in the single-player campaign.
EGM also claims that Epic is working on a multiplatform horror game, a rumor we've heard before but have no hard facts on. However, this wouldn't surprise us either.
This is great news! And if you look at the release dates of Gears 1 and 2, the games fall two years apart, which would put Gears of War 3 in the late 2010 time frame. Five player co-op is to be expected, though. Even a four player co-op mode would be nice for the single-player campaign.

I would like for them to space out the tittles a little bit more. Gears 3 could be an awesome tittle to launch with the next xbox.

this would be great if theres gonna be a gears of war 3 and i agree with the guy below me they have released 2 years aprt from each other which would make gears 3 to release in 2010 i really hope there is gonna be a gears of war 3!
