Konami teases 'A Next Metal Gear' in Xbox Green

Kojima Productions produces a mysterious new preview for the next Metal Gear game.

Earlier today, on the Kojima Productions section of Konami Japan's website, a flash page was put up hyping the next Metal Gear. The bad news? It's so oblique that nobody can seem to figure out exactly what it's hyping. The logo consists of an equation featuring what could be interpreted as a lower case "i" or an exclamation point, and what looks like a standard power button incorporating said letter/punctuation.

Konami teases next Metal Gear game

Your guess is as good as ours.

So far we've heard rumors of an Xbox 360 version of Metal Gear Solid 4 or an Xbox Live Arcade version of the PS1's Metal Gear Solid due to the neon green lettering (via 1UP), a Metal Gear Acid game due to the use of an exclamation point (via Wired), and a touch-enabled iPhone/iPod Metal Gear game due to the "i" and the URL containing the text "mgst" (via Kotaku). Since nearly every concievable idea has been thrown out there already, we're going to claim the last spot left in the Next Metal Gear pool and guess it's a kart racer. Hey, that could be a speedometer at the end!

It's obviously for 360 since that's the symbol on the power button but not sure which one it will be.

Since it's an icon for a power button it could mean that production has simply just started(or powered up/on).

I hope its for PS3. Weak games NEED to stay for the PS3. And if it does stay, its not gonna make a difference. MGS4 wasnt even a good game. It SEEMED good because that is the only " Good" game out for the PS3. Wow, good luck Sony!! :)

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Konami decided to put a MGS game onto the Xbox 360. After all big gaming companys like Konami don't think like we do, they're after business and probally could care less about being exclusive to the PS3. By putting there game onto the Xbox 360 that will just make them even more money. But I wouldn't freak out about it to much because after all this could simply imply that the new MGS is on.

If MGS4 does come out for 360 how are they gonna fit it on the DVD? have like nine discs? or installed on the HD(most people won't have enough room), or they'll have to compress every bit of data sos it won't ever look quite as good as the ps3 version.
