After all the recreations of games within LittleBigPlanet, it's time for other games to get a dose of Sackboy.
UDPATE: Woops, look like a few outlets, us included, got the facts mixed up, according to Joystiq. Lumines is not coming to LittleBigPlanet, and this story has been altered to correct it.
We already knew that LittleBigPlanet was home to unparalleled creativity, but Q Entertainment and Sony are teaming up to flip the swtich, including a theme of the hot new platform game in the upcoming PS3 version of the famed puzzle series, titled Lumines Supernova . Joystiq is reporting (via Japanese website Dengeki Online) that Lumines' first PS3 appearance may come part and parcel with a skin based on LittleBigPlanet. The series started as a PSP launch surprise, moving onto the PS2 and Xbox 360 in subsequent iterations.

Lumines is know for making use of varying music styles and block designs for different stages, while keeping the core gameplay intact. It'll be interesting to see how that melds with LittleBigPlanet's distinct look and feel. We've only seen three screenshots thus far on Dengeki, so we'll have to wait until closer to the game's winter release to see how LittleBigPlanet's sound works with Lumines' look.

So says the loser that used to steal games and is wearing a fake beard and santa hat in his pic and who uses their pic as a avatar that is the sign of a true douche bag. Also your getting offended I don't like a kids game grow up your so lame.

That's funny, some would argue that only kids play games... so goes the theory of LBP being a "kids" game, but it is kid friendly. But the last 2 to 3 levels are not kid friendly and can be damn difficult. Most kids need a therapist after playing the last 3 levels of LBP.

I wonder if LBP could be released for the PS2... With it being a quasi-3D sidescrolling platformer and all. The PS2 could easily handle the graphics without a single slow down.
OH and as for Lumines... Boring game.

you could say Little Big Planet is a "kiddie" game, it certainly appears like it.....but given all the creativity involved in designing levels and the good old fashioned 2D-ish platform gaming give it a certain allure. the idea of Little Big Planet is to be the creator as well as the player......and few games do this to the degree Little Big Planet does. LBP just oozes charm and originality.
